I’ve been riding horses since before I could walk. I got my first pony, Suzy, when I was 3 years old. Horses consumed my entire life as a kid. If we weren’t riding or training horses at home, we were trail riding, doing parades and weddings with draft horses, or going to horse sales. As I neared my teenage years, I started team roping and I was instantly hooked. While in high school I found myself getting calls from friends and family, asking to ride horses for them. At that point, I decided that I wanted to make a living out of it. Ever since then, my passion for making horses better has just grown stronger. “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

I was always known as the crazy horse kid in school. It was a phase that my parents always thought I would grow out of. Boy, did I prove them wrong. When I was young, I would do chores for my neighbor in exchange for riding lessons. Eventually, I worked into showing at local horse shows and was involved in 4H. The passion just kept growing stronger. I have worked under other trainers throughout the years, striving to learn as much as I could, so I could build the program I have always dreamed of. I feel what keeps me hooked on this horse business the most, is the fact that you are always learning. Each horse is different and presents different challenges, which helps you continue to become a better rider/trainer. “Never stop learning; For when we stop learning, we stop growing.”
